Celebration for the
Homeless
The Celebration for the Homeless is design to affirm and
encourage our homeless brother and sisters in the Dallas
area. We have brought together various agencies and
ministries that provide services to the homeless in the
hope that they will receive a hand up, not just a
handout. We also hope this event will serve as a reminder
of the plight of the homeless and spur them to action.

Program Graduation
The Graduate Services Department has been developed to
support program graduates in their effort to successfully
transition into mainstream society. To be considered in
(C.H.I.P) program graduate, individuals must secure full
time employment, achieve independent housing, and maintain
a drug and alcohol free lifestyle.
Graduates meet with their Graduate Services Advisors
individually two times per month. Additionally, Graduate
Services Advisors conduct home visits, serve as liaisons
with employer partners, and facilitate monthly meetings
where graduates have the opportunity to share their
experiences with fellow graduates, and gain valuable
information provided by guest speakers on topics such as
relapse prevention, health, etc, education, and career
advancement.
Following the, graduates are strongly encouraged to
continue to keep in touch with the Graduate Services
Department. Graduate Services is available to assist
(C.H.I.P) job program graduates with a variety of services
including:
- Assistance as needed to obtain new housing and/or new
employment
- Onsite GED/ABE and computer classes
- Relapse Prevention, NA, AA, etc.
- Job Training on-site and off-site
- Participation in alumni events
All graduates that successfully maintain employment,
housing, and sobriety are eligible for a $1,000 grant.
This grant is paid over a 5-month period in installments
of $200. In conjunction with the grant, those graduates
who maintain their employment, housing, and sobriety every
three months receive special recognition at our Graduate
Services or Quarterly Dinners, where family and friends
are welcome to participate in this celebration of
graduates’ accomplishments.
Every July, the Graduate Services Department sponsors an
annual Alumni Family Day Summer Picnic. This event
provides an opportunity for graduates to re-establish
relationships with the friends they made in the program
and build relationships with newer graduates for a
lifetime.
